Procrastination at it’s finest.
I’ve spent the last few days creating this collection of patterns using the recursive drawing tool at recursivedrawing.com, which allows you to insert a shape, and then insert a copy of itself into the same frame and distort that copy to create these intricate patterns.
The process to create these images is such a good workout for developing spatial orientation. The possible combinations and patterns that can be created are endless! I especially enjoyed creating the classic patterns such as the Sierpinski triangle and the Fibonacci tree.
So many cool patterns can be created so easily, and its so fun to experiment with building levels and levels of recursion into the one picture.
I hope you enjoyed viewing these, there’s something about geometry that is always aesthetically pleasing.
Feel free to have a play with the tool and create some patterns yourself, leave a comment below if you want to share it, I’d love to see some more!
